Ypsilanti Woman Featured in Billboard Campaign
YPSILANTI SURGEON and Army Reserve lieutenant Maggie Brandt is featured in a billboard campaign encouraging medical professionals to join the Army Reserves (veterinarians are also invited to join). Brandt served as a volunteer at the Bagram Air Base in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan in 2003.
The billboards have already pulled in 20 new volunteers, about half of the Reserve's annual number of new medical volunteers. (Brandt is also the wife of local businessman Steve Pierce). Story.

I actually did not know, or had forgotten, that that was your last name. Don't sound so bleak and fatalistic, Tom! I care! :)
It's fascinating information.

In a creepy moment, Tom was Maggie's father. He passed away just a couple of months ago. Why this is creepy is Tom would have likely said the same thing. So while not related by birth they appear to be related in demeanor [grin]. Cheers! - Steve
