That's a draft flier which I'll upgrade with a new, non-pyro graphic when I have a moment.

I'm there. I'll even bring the apocalypse.

Darn, I will be out of town, maybe someone could video tape the meeting. - Steve

That photo looks just like our water tower...in false color!

It might be useful for people to review the indicators report that was generated during the Sustainable Washtenaw project a few years back.

http://www.ewashtenaw.org/government/boc/agenda/ws/year_2002/2002-10-02ws/bc_02-10-02ws1.pdf

(Sustainable Washtenaw involved a wide range of constituencies including environmental, health, education and municipalities. Susan Santone developed a curriculum piece that was applied in Ypsilanti Public Schools - she should definitely be contacted about the SPAY efforts.)

Steve: I'm flattered that you would consider coming and as usual contributing insightful ideas. In lieu of v-taping it I'll be sure to talk about it here.

OG: Hey, it does! Maybe there's a logo in there somewhere...water tower...nuclear cloud...

While I, pyro, prefer the giant flaming cloud image for a logo, another kind group member is more in favor of calm Venn diagram-type logos with labeled circles.

I gracefully concede to her esteemed opinion.

(...while secretly imagining the incongruous fusion of a pastel Venn diagram with a GIANT FLAMING CLOUD OF APOCALYPTIC TERROR!!!)

Sigh.

John G: That is a very useful and helpful info-tidbit. Thank you for the good info.

In all my copious spare time, I did some upgrades of my solar cooker in anticipation of Thursday's meeting. I hope many of you will come out for the discussion!

My solar cooker got rained on, accidentally, so I wanted to re-up the cardboard reflector. Also, some jams had spilled over. Thus, I super-sustainably liberated some discarded DHL shipping boxes and re-covered them with heavy aluminum foil. (The UM has switched their contract to FedEx, so you should be able to find scads of free DHL boxes to make a cooker with.) Added benefit: the ends of the boxes have a very heavy-duty adhesive closure. Thus, I left the boxes flat & joined them with duct tape to make the tri-fold reflector, slipping the foil in the ends of the boxes & securing it with the peel-off adhesive. I can't wait to test-drive it.

Come view the solar cooker at this Thursday's discussion!
