YPSIDIXIT biked to work today, after getting a free bike tune-up (usually $40) at Bicycles in Town! It was free because if you buy a bike there, you get free tune-ups for a year. It's actually been more than a year since I bought it, but the owner is the kind of guy that puts customer service way ahead of the fine print.

I bought tubes, tar arns, two extra chains (the chain on the 'bent is so long it requires 2 regular chains) and a magical chain cleaner-luber-ator. I wanted a tune-up because Y. and the AF are blasting off on an epic bike journey tomorrow down to the Dennison Road cemetery, out in big sky country, for a picnic.

Y. also was delighted and geeked to pick up the Ypsisongs CD today and will post a review tonight.

Relationships are like a wild safari when Venus, love goddess extraordinaire, enters the jungle of Leo. She'll explore this uncivilized terrain through Sept. 5. Romance is best when it's free to express its more primitive desires. Starting this weekend, those who dare to love out loud are boldly enriched.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your senses are turned up as the stars illuminate your feelings. You're more aware of a prickly person, a hot deal, a cold lead and the warm, gooey feeling you get interacting with a special loved one.
Click to learn more...

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There's no reason to hide or pretend, though you may feel the urge to do so -- nobody likes to risk feeling foolish in front of others. Just know that you're safe. You're acceptable, and you're accepted.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The stars suggest you react to the Law of Diminishing Returns. Sometimes, the best offense is a change of focus. Forget about the problem. Take a time out. Evening brings beautiful, crisp clarity.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your heart is true, and you're giving your very best. So relieve the mental pressure you put on yourself. Yes, delicate and serious situations require you to be responsible, but there are limits to what you can be expected to do.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Review your progress. It's a necessary step in your personal evolution. Make an effort to employ what you learned long ago, and you'll avoid pitfalls, both financial and social.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). With your customary pragmatism, you become David conquering Goliath. Only, in today's scenario, the giant bully is likely your own anger. When you can knock that down with your little slingshot, you're truly the king (or queen).

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). As soon as you get an idea, act on it right away. (Otherwise, you'll wait, worry, doubt and eventually forget about it.) Also, when you see someone you'd like to meet, thrust out your hand. You're warmly received.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Be on the lookout for energy-vampires, and when you see them, run the other way. Emotions are too easily manipulated under these skies. Whether it's joy or sadness, you'll feel it fully, deeply, madly.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Restless again? Relax. Balance is the key to moving forward. By just being, you're enough. Accomplishments happen naturally when you believe you're entitled to abundance.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Heroic moves come naturally to you. When a partner fails to meet an obligation, you're the one who picks up the slack. The favor will be returned to you later -- but even if it never was, you'd act in the same manner.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). There's a fine line between high self-esteem and arrogance -- a line you're walking now. How do you appear confident without intimidating others? You'll probably be overly kind to ensure that you stay in good graces.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Financial issues are on your mind. Have faith in your ability to create. You'll make more money as you resolve to do so. Don't worry about the "how" right now, just know that you deserve it.

I'm from Tecumseh and I often take the backroads to get to Ypsi. The route takes us through Mooreville. There's an old cemetery near the corner of Mooreville Rd and Ridge Rd. I always think, "Ypsidixit would like that one!" I thought I'd mention it since you'll be in the vicinity.

Vera: Mooreville...yes ma'am, that's the crossroads with the abandoned church. Yep, I've visited that cemetery (just north of the crossroads with Stony Creek Road, I think it is). Nice little cemetery. Some old 19th-century graves. Behind the church are a bunch of incongruous beehives.
