Yeah, I'm thinking that waiting out the storm at work isn't the most intelligent choice I could have made. Let's hope AATA doesn't keep me waiting outside too long!

AATA whisked me home in perfect dryness while I quietly read about the Franklin Expedition, and the rain didn't really hit till I got to my gate, whew. Love storms.

We got our butts kicked down here in the Shire. It turned the sky a weird green just before all the rain in the world fell on us.
A Tornado touched down on Sterns Rd., and lots of main streets in Toledo are impassible due to flooding. Carty issued an order telling everyone to stay off the streets.
We only have some very minor yard flooding, and small tree branches scattered about. We never lost power either, which is a heck of lot better than lots of folks down here.
The sky is still rumbling with flashes of lightning, and the cats DO NOT like it.

Whoa. A tornado on Sterns? That's a few hundred yards from mt folks' place. Jeez, I've gotta call them.
I saw the storms in the Shire and in Ypsi on the weather radar. More headed our way in Ypsi tonight. The dog has been glued to my side all evening; She, unlike me, hates storms. She gets the bonus of sleeping in the bed this evening, in which she'll likely asphyxiate me in fragrant belly hair as usual.
Y. loves storms.

I love them, too.
The TV is blaring dire warnings and telling folks to take cover...and I am on my front porch, scanning the skies for funnels and other weather phenomena.
Weather is way cool.

Clean your storm drains!
A public service announcement.

Ms Nexrad shows a little spot of wet weather south of Adrian where they got 6-7" of rain. Yow.

I love storms a lot too. My dogs really hate them though. It was really funny because I needed to take a shower which is where one of my dogs usually goes during storms so she jumped into the bathtub while I was taking a shower. She hesitated for a moment as if trying to decide, which was the worse horror, a bath or thunder? She apparently decided to take her chances with the thunder and jumped back out of the tub. When I finished my shower though, both dogs were huddled together under the sink in the bathroom. It was kind of cute really.

Edward: Gracious. I hope my folks weren't swept away.

Lynne: That is hilarious; I can just imagine the doleful expression on a dog's face as he weighs the two horrors...
