WONDERING WHERE TO GET CARP BREAD? Wonder no more, Just stop by the Jimmy-Johns on Ann St.. They sell day-old bread for a measly 40 cents per loaf. Ypsidixit stocked up on 5 generous loaves for a mere $2.50. Bonus: the five baguette-style loaves offer a higher crust ratio, useful to fisherpeople concerned about the dissolution of bread bait in water. A bargain!

Many people bait carp with dough balls, which hold together better than baked bread, and which can be seasoned with the carp attractant of your choice. I bet one of those carp sites you posted the other day has recipes.

Shupac: Yes, I have seen recipes for boilies. People flavor them with dog food, oatmeal, fruit flavors, you name it. Easy to make: glop together the dough, roll out in finger-sized "sausages," cut into chunks, boil. Boiling dog food would probably smell delightful. The fruit flavors seem to work well, based on what I've read so far.

Gonna try the old canned corn trick today.
